President's Message
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, welcome to the NCFST website. This is your gateway to a wealth of informaton about who we are, what we do, and most importantly, how we can be of service.
Since NCFST was founded in April, 1988, we have done our best to ensure that the Native population of Toronto has access to an agency that embeds native culture and beliefs in our practices, programs and approach in interacting with our clients who represent the largest – and most diverse - off reserve population in Canada. A testament to our success in doing just that is the designation of our agency as Canada’s first off reserve Native Child Welfare Authority.
So, what does this mean to you? NCFST is now a stronger and more balanced agency. Not only do we still deliver our award winning Prevention Services, but we have now integrated into this holistic environment, our Child Welfare services. So now, no matter what the issue, concern or area that needs attention, NCFST can help. The bottom-line is that NCFST is now more empowered to do what we have always done best. Serve you.
